Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets once a month and advises the Nantucket Planning and Economic Development Committee (NP&EDC) and Town Administration on bicycle and pedestrian issues around the island.  The BPAC meets once a month and consists of community members at large, the Transportation Director as Committee Administrator, and one appointee from NP&EDC.
The League of American Bicyclists designated Nantucket as a Bicycle Friendly Community at the Silver Level.  This award is presented to communities with remarkable commitments to bicycling infrastructure, education, and encouragement.  The Bicycle and Pedestrian Adivisory Committee (BPAC) worked diligently on this application throughout 2014.
