Dispose: Medications and pharmaceuticals should be brought to scheduled Drug Take Back Events. Contact the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) at 774-333-2085 for information about the next Drug Take Back Event.

Empty prescription medication bottles are Non-Recyclable/Non-Compostable Waste (NRNC).

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS

Dispose: Pads, tampons, and menstrual cups are Non-Recyclable/Non-Compostable Waste (NRNC).

MERCURY AND MERCURY-CONTAINING PRODUCTS

Dispose: All mercury-containing products should be brought to a Hazardous Waste Collection Event.

MICROWAVES

MOTH BALLS

Dispose: Moth balls contain insecticides and should be brought to a Hazardous Waste Collection Event.

MOTOR OIL AND FILTERS

Dispose: Motor oil and filters should be brought to a Hazardous Waste Collection Event.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

Reuse: The Nantucket Music Center (56 Centre Street, 508-228-3352) accepts donations of some musical instruments. Musical instruments can also be posted in a local online free and for sale group for pick-up or brought to the Take-It-or-Leave-It.
