Phase 2 - Lovers Lane Reconstruction, Stormwater & Multi-Use Path Project

This part of the overall Surfside Area Roadway Projects consists of reconstructing and paving Lovers Lane with re-engineered drainage and a mixed-use path from Old South Road to Boulevarde.  Note that this project provides a needed interconnection of the mixed-use paths between Old South Road Mixed-Use Path with the Boulevarde Mixed-Use Path. This project has been in the Capital Improvement Plan since 2016.  Funding includes: 

• Article 10 2016 ATM authorizing the Town to borrow $1,000,000 for costs associated with the Boulevarde, Lovers Lane and Okorwaw Avenue reconstruction; 
• Article 10 2017 ATM approving $1,000,000 from Real Estate Sales for costs associated with the Boulevarde, Lovers Lane and Okorwaw Avenue reconstruction; and  
• Article 10 2018 ATM approving $534,800 Free Cash for costs associated with Surfside area reconstruction (Lovers Lane, Okorwaw Avenue, Monohansett Road).   

 This project is 50% complete in the design phase.
