Important deadlines for candidates to keep in mind:

Monday, Feb. 5th  Nomination papers available
Wed, March 21st   Deadline for filing Nomination Papers (submit to Town Clerk's office) 5:00 PM       
Tuesday, April 17th Deadline for withdrawing Nomination Papers (notarized statement  required) 5:00 PM

When gathering signatures on your Nomination Papers, please keep the following in mind:

  • **DO NOT collect signatures at a public meeting!
  • **Fifty (50) signatures of registered voters in the Town of Nantucket are required

**Obtain a dozen or so more signatures than are required to be on the safe side!  Some reasons why signatures cannot be certified:  PO Box listed instead of street address; address listed is different from the address on voting list; first or last name is different from name on voting list, name is illegible. **Be safe get some extra signatures**
