The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will accept public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the SouthCoast Wind project (formerly Mayflower Wind) until Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:59 pm ET.
The DEIS is an important piece of the federal permitting process, which analyzes all possible impacts of the proposed project and proposed project alternatives, including a no action alternative.

The Town of Nantucket announces that the Sconset footbridge will be temporarily closed for maintenance and repair from March 22 – April 2nd. The bridge will be closed to pedestrian traffic during this time.
The work being done includes replacing rotted wood along the lower railings and repairing wood supports under the footbridge deck. In the fall, additional work is needed to repair the wood columns and concrete footings, along with painting.

The Town of Nantucket is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a third $20,000 Survey and Planning Grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission (MHC).

The Sea St 3rd Sewer Force Main Project is making the turn onto Surfside Road from South Shore Rd heading Westerly towards the schools.
Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm, with the potential for night work if needed. This work will be within the bike path and shoulder area primarily as other utilities allow.
