TOWN OF NANTUCKET: COVID-19 TASK FORCE

Given the surge in holiday related COVID cases, the Town of Nantucket has established a COVID Enforcement Task Force (CETF) to focus on enforcement and undertake special preventative measures.

This Task Force consists of representatives from several Town departments and will coordinate with existing agencies to maximize effectiveness, reduce redundancy and ensure a coordinated response to the ongoing pandemic by all Town Departments.  

CETF will respond to complaints, perform inspections, address gaps in messaging and outreach, receive tips from the community and serve as an auxiliary data collection point for enforcement and outreach efforts.

Nantucket Officials urge Community Members, Visitors and Potential Visitors to continue to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control with respect to face coverings, physical distancing, sanitizing, travel, avoiding gatherings and the other measures needed to “flatten” the contagion – all of these guidelines may be found through the Town website at www.nantucket-ma/gov.
